101 Best Travel Quotes to Inspire Your Wanderlust

Posted by - August 11, 2016 | Category: Library

I’ve long been obsessed with finding the best travel quotes. There’s something satisfying about discovering quotes about travelling that encapsulate your feelings about a place, a time, or a travel experience. The same holds true for quotes that inspire you to see the world.

Travel has the capacity to transform individuals, realize new opportunities, and have you set foot on untouched territories.  Science even supports the notion that travel, not possessions, makes you happier.

I’ve written about fake travel quotes before, so I reckoned it was time to write about the legitimate ones. Some of the travel phrases and quotes I’ve collected here are already well-known, some are culled from books about travel, and some are sayings that I just stumbled across on the internet. And some are just obscure travel quotes I unearthed along the way.

What they all have in common is what I like to call “that wonderful turn of phrase” — they put you in a travel state of mind, and infuse a sense of wanderlust in your soul. Whether it’s a travel mantra, a travel slogan, or just even a funny travel quote, the message is clear — get out there and see the world!

So without further ado, here in my humble opinion, some of the best travel quotes to help inspire that wanderlust within.

  1. Love your tatto, great design and the quote is funny but true! This is seriously an impressive list. One of my favourite stanza from a poem that I think relates well to travel is
To see a world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
    And eternity in an hour
    Auguries of Innocence
