Travel Photo of the Week — Honolulu Loo

Posted by - June 23, 2011 | Category: Escapes, North America, United States

Anyone who knows me knows I never pass up the opportunity to pee.  It has been one of the few constants in my life.  This was my last order of business in Hawaii, and this was the last photo I took.

It seems that even the bathrooms on Oahu have a distinctive Hawaiian feel.  I would have liked to have seen the wheelchair with a surfboard strapped to the side, but perhaps that would have been over the top.

This was taken at the Honolulu airport.  I was going to snap a pic of the ladies washroom as well, but the evil eye from the cleaning lady told me I should just keep moseying on.Honolulu Hawaii men's bathroom sign

  1. This is hilarious! I haven’t seen much, if any at all, of this kind of Hawaiian motifs in the bathrooms when I was growing up. Perhaps its becoming a fad for tourism.

  2. Aloha Raymond,

Your great pic reminds me of home in Hawai’i.

The guy is wearing his Aloha-Shirt like most people do to go to work and the woman is wearing a Mu’muu 🙂

Mahalo for the pic and safe travels!

  3. Darn, I would have loved to see the women’s sign. I don’t remember seeing those signs last time I was in the Oahu airport. You always find the craziest things, too bad the cleaning lady screwed it up for you.
