Travel Photo of the Week — Fab Hermit Crab

Koh Libong, Thailand

hermit crab in shell, Ko Libong, Thailand

Doc, I’ve got crabs. They’re all over my feet though. It’s a crustacean infestation. Can you prescribe something?

These little fellas can be found scurrying along the beach in Ko Libong, Thailand. Many of them favour travelling in shells like this chap here. I like to think of them as mobile homes for hermits (I think that’s the type of crab this is).

Then again, if I lived in a mobile home, I’d probably be a hermit too.

This post is part of Budget Travelers Sandbox Travel Photo Thursday.  Be sure to check out the other great photos.

I’m a travel blogger and freelance travel writer. I left behind my cubicle-shaped cell to see the world. Now I inspire others to “shake the shackles and escape through travel.” This is my blog.
